Autun
Autun is an ancient Roman fortified town. Unfortunately there is not much left of it, but part of the imposing city walls still stands. The imposing cathedral has recently been restored. In this city you can visit the following:
- Museum Rolin
- Cathedral St-Lazare
- Briscou cascade (waterfall)
- Roman Theatre of Autun
- Temple of Janus
- Military Lyceum
- Pyramid of Couhard
- Porte Saint-André
The tourist office is located on the 2, av Charles de Gaulle, near the market square with its beautiful theatre and town hall. There is a market on Wednesdays and Fridays. Shopping can be done at supermarkets such as Leclerc, Leaderprice and Norma.
