LAST MINUTE BUNGALOW

Beaune

An absolute must is the capital of the wine region. Originally Beaune is a walled Roman settlement city. Discover the wide range of quality wines in the many wine tasting rooms and cultural attractions. There are a number of sights not to be missed:

  • Beautiful old town centre with half-timbered houses
  • Hospices (Hôtel-Dieu) de Beaune: world-famous nursing home near the market square and the wine museum.
  • Marché aux Vins
  • Notre Dame de Beaune Church
  • Place de la Halle

There's a market in Beaune on Saturday mornings. A typical French market on the square in front of Hôtel-Dieu where you will find market stalls with French cheeses, meat, foie gras, vegetables, fruit and of course the most famous wines of Burgundy. And if you are in Beaune, taste the delicious Burgundian cuisine in one of the restaurants in town.

In the north of Beaune there is a large supermarket, the Leclerc Hypermarché. The tourist office is located in the heart of the city and offers guided walks.
